What is your rave outfit?

If you have been to a rave, then you know all about the variety of rave outfits. Some call it being free and portraying a sense of uniqueness with their outfits while other call it promiscuous.

I always wonder what an alien would say if his or her first stop was at a rave. The latest fashion trends popping up at raves have really been that eccentric. The whole premise behind a rave is being free, letting go and having fun. Somewhere along the line, there was a notion that regular clothes chained our freedom and restricted us from letting go and having fun. The rave costume trend began, displaying each individual’s creativity and uniqueness. As always, there are winners and losers and there seems to be many losers as of late. Do not get me wrong. I have seen some amazing rave outfits but there is a line between tacky and classy and that line seems to be blurred for many people.

The one costume design I feel needs to stop is the combination of a promiscuous outfit with an infusion of cartoon themes like hello kitty. I understand that cartoons are really cool, but we as an EDM community need to understand that cartoons were part of our childhood and we should leave it there. I definitely feel we can be more creative than cartoons with our rave costume.
