My friends and I were lucky enough to get tickets at the last minute to the VELD music festival. I had an amazing experience and just wanted to recap the event with everyone so that you can decide whether you want to go to it next year. Also I want to stop repeating the story every time someone asks me:)

How to prepare yourself for electronic music festivals!
You don’t realize how much you love electronic music festivals, until you’ve been to one. After attending Veld and Digital Dreams this passed summer, I’ve picked up a couple tricks and developed a checklist on how to prepare for one.
Summer music festivals are like mini vacations. They last a minimum of 2 days and require some preparation and planning. European music festivals like Tomorrowland provide space for overnight stays but majority of festivals don’t have that luxury. The first thing to make sure of is to make sure you make arrangements for somewhere to stay. If the festival is local and you plan on sleeping in your own bed, arrange for a safe form of transportation to take you home. Festivals always have parking (with a cost) so driving is always an option if you have a very generous friend who can be the designated driver.
Bring water or a water bottle! That’s the most crucial and detrimental item a person can bring. Organizers of electronic music festivals provide refill stations at events so that you don’t have to waste your money and kill the environment with all the bottles you’d be buying. It’s important to stay hydrated since you’re outside all day in the sun and probably sweating from all the dancing you’ll be doing.
Enjoy yourself! A music festival is meant to bring people together that have common interests. Tickets to these events are not cheap but if you genuinely enjoy the music, attend with a good group of people and bask in the beauties of summer, a music festival could be some of the best times of your life! What do you think you would need to have fun at a music festival?
